There isnt really a big story behind this image aside from me wanting to try something different. It was on the day my new monitor arrived and I wanted to check the colors out and 3 hours later this had manifested !

I walked around my house taking photos of various items and used them within the design. The circle patterns were from an old RAID server case, the branches came from the firewood pile and… well… we would be here for a long time if i had to explain the rest.

For me , its almost a part of me which  craves to be crazy and wild and free but still safe and secure. It sounds random but expression usually is. Sometimes its the only thing we have which can explain our minds.

What image helps explain YOU ?

Deon De Lange was the 1st photographer to let me use his studio when I had just recieved my 1st DSLR camera.  We had been chatting for a while about photography and I used to play with some of his images to boost my retouching skills. I played with this image back then and did a few nice tweaks but it was only till abotu a year afterwards when I found this image again that It became this.

I am really proud of this image and it even was featured on ModelBASE, a local website for photographers and models.

So this lovely lady is Teniel who is actually a make-up artist who if memory serves has relocated to Cape Town.

She was the model for Cindy’s (http://thequotidianworld.wordpress.com/) shoot and I wanted to play with the image and see what I can do.

A few design elements were added for the general effect and overall I was quiet happy with the result.
